వివిధ మహాత్ములు ప్రసాదించిన అటువంటి లీలలను ఇక్కడ స్మరించుకుందాము. ముందుగా శ్రీ పూండి స్వామి వారి చరిత్ర లోని అట్టి కొన్ని లీలలతో ప్రారంభిద్దాము :

తాంబరం (తమిళనాడు) అనే ఒక ఊరి క్లబ్బులో నలుగురు పేకాట ఆడుతున్నారు. వారిలో ఒక బస్సు ఓనరు; మిగిలిన వారు వ్యాపారస్తులు. వీరిలో ఒకడు శ్రీ పూండీ స్వామి వారి భక్తుడు. అతడు, "స్వామి! నాకు మంచి కార్డులు రావడం లేదు. మంచి కార్డులు వచ్చేటట్లు చెయ్యండి." అని ప్రార్ధించాడు. అది విని బస్సు ఓనరు, "సోమరిపోతులంతా తమకు తాము భక్తులుగా ప్రకటించుకొని, ప్రజలను మోసం చేసి, తిని తిరిగే వాళ్ళు" అని అన్నాడు. దానిపై వారు కొంత చర్చ జరిపారు. అప్పుడు బస్సు ఓనరు, "ఈ ఆటలన్నింటిలోను నేనే గెలిస్తే, గెలిచిన డబ్బులతో మిమ్మలను ముగ్గురినీ శ్రీ స్వామి వారి దగ్గరకు తీసుకు పోతాను." అన్నాడు. అదే విధంగా ఆటలన్నింటిలో అతడే గెలిచాడు. మాట ప్రకారం అతడు వారిని శ్రీ పూండీ స్వామి వారి దగ్గరకు తీసుకు వెళ్ళాడు. వాళ్ళను చూడగానే శ్రీ స్వామి వారు - "క్వీన్, కింగ్, జోకర్" అన్నారు. ఆ మాటలు వింటోనే, వారికి వణుకు పుట్టింది.
బస్సు ఓనరు నమస్కరిస్తుంటే - "వారు సోమరిపోతులు, ప్రపంచాన్నిమోసం చేసి బ్రతుకుతున్నారు!" అని అనగానే, ఆ బస్సు ఓనరుకు ప్రాణం పోయినంత పనయ్యింది! తన భక్తుడు నమస్కరిస్తోంటే, "ఏమయ్యా, నీకు మంచి కార్డులు రావాలని నన్ను పిలుస్తావా? నేను మంచిగానే వున్నాను; నన్ను మోసగానిగా అందరికీ పరిచయం చేస్తావా? మంచిని పొందేందుకు, మంచిగా అలోచించండి, మంచి చెయ్యండి." అని అందరికీ హితవు పలికారు. పేకాట వంటి వ్యసనాలలో ఉన్నా, వారిని ఈ అనుభవంతో సంస్కరించి, భక్తి విశ్వాసాలు గల సత్ పౌరులుగా మార్చారు.

In the lives of Mahatmas (for example: Saibaba of Shirdi, Venkaiah Swami, Swami Samartha, Ramana Maharshi), we come across many leelas where the they beautifully interleave profound-teachings with excellent-humor (similar to Homeopathy medicine?). Through this process, they bring the much needed transformation in devotees in a very pleasant manner! In such leelas, omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent nature of the Sathguru is also imprinted in the minds of the devotees.

I will begin with such leelas of Sri Poondi Swami:
In a club in Tambraram (Tamilnadu), four people were playing cards. There was one bus owner among them, and the remaining three were businessmen. One of the businessmen was Swami’s devotee. While playing the game, he prayed, “Swami! I am not getting proper cards. Bless me so that I can get nice cards to win!”. Hearing that, the bus owner said, “All the lazy fellows announce themselves to be devotees and cheat people for their food”. They had some discussion about that. Then the bus owner said, “If I win all these games, I’ll take you to Swami with that money”. After that, he won in ALL the games. As per his promise, he took the remaining three guys to Swami’s darshan. As soon as Swami saw these people, He told, “Queen, King, Club, and Joker”. They shivered with fear on listening to those words!
When the bus owner prostrated to Swami, He told”They are lazy fellows; they lead their life by cheating other people”. The bus owner was stunned at Swami’s words. When the devotee among the businessmen bowed, Swami asked, “You prayed me that you wanted nice cards; didn’t you? When I am a gentle man, why did you introduce me as a cheater to them? Think good for getting good results. Do good”. With this incident, Swami converted those people as good citizens with devotion and faith who were previously indulged in bad habits.
